Our GMC Motorhomes were designed with a unique, automatic leveling, load adjustable air suspension system that can be manually set, when parking, to self-level the coach. The system operates using a set of compressor, valves, and controls in conjunction with air springs.  We commonly call these “Air-Bags” but don’t confuse them with the collision protection air bags that are installed in modern vehicles for passnger safety in collisions. NOTE:  It is very important to replace the air springs on both sides of coach in order to provide steady, even ride and handling. Replacement Air Bags (Air Springs) Sirum Bag System (Sirum bags - invented here) The original factory air bags are no longer being manufactured by Firestone for our coaches  Therefore we have engineered a replacement system that uses two currently available Firestone air bags working together on each side. This solution provides: o Same suspension feel as original equipment. o Same Handling as original. o Same approx. diameter as original o Same suspension travel as original. o Same operating air pressure as original. o Same ride height on your coach o Same load carrying capacity as original. o Allows wheels on each bogie to operate together as the factory designed the bogies to step over bumps and obstacles. o Readily available Firestone US air bags. o Independent filler on side of coach. o Installation kit includes air bag isolation valve, distribution block and filler extension. o NOTE:  IIsolation kit is included with each set of new bags.  The kit allows ride level to be maintained in the event of internal air suspension control system or compressor failure.                               Dual Air Bag System Individual replacement bags are available Installation Kit f r o m   F i r e s t o n e   U S Installed Dual Air Bag System Note remote filler valve Replacement Air Bags (Air Springs) Single Air Bag System (Ferrara bags) This repalcement is one single chamber bag with waistband for each side.  The waistband keeps the air bag from “bulging” in the middle and helps maintain load capacity. This solution provides: o Direct bolt-in replacement for original air spring. o Firmer suspension feel . o Slightly larger diameter than original o Reduced suspension travel compared to original provides firmer ride for better control. o Same operating air pressure as original. o Same ride height on your coach as original. o Larger spacers provide limited collapse distance if air bag fails.  Your coach can be driven a limited distance on “flat” bags. o Same load carrying capacity as original. o Readily available replacement air bags are available. o NOTE:  Isolation kit is included with each set of new bags.  The kit, shown below,  allows ride level to be maintained in the event of internal air suspension control system or compressor failure. Replacement Air Bags (Air Springs) Single Air Bag System (Sully bags) This repalcement is one large, single chamber bag for each side.  The Air bags are larger diameter than original and this allows them to operate at a lower air pressure and still maintain the same ride height.  They have a higher load carrying capacity than the original factory bags.  This solution provides: o Direct bolt-in replacement for original air spring using adapter plates that are included. o Softer suspension feel . o Slightly larger diameter than original o Same suspension travel as original OEM bags.  o Lower operating air pressure as original OEM bags. o Same ride height on your coach as original. o Greater load carrying capacity as original. o Readily available Firestone US air bags. o NOTE:  Isolation kit is included with each set of new bags.  The kit, shown below,  allows ride level to be maintained in the event of internal air suspension control system or compressor failure.          Mounting Plates are included         Please change bags on both sides of coach Replacement Air Bags (Air Springs) Quadra- Bag System (California bags) This system is engineered to provide a separate bag for each wheel position.  The isolation plate between the two bags does not move; This stops the “compound swing” action of the bogie and provides a firmer ride. This solution provides: o Firmer suspension feel compared to original equipment. o Firmer handling than original. o Same approx. diameter as original o Similar operating air pressure as original. o Same ride height on your coach o Allows each wheel to operate independently.  o Readily available Firestone US air bags. o Independent filler on side of coach. o Installation kit includes air bag isolation valve, distribution block and filler extension. o NOTE:  IIsolation kit is included with each set of new bags.  The kit allows ride level to be maintained in the event of internal air suspension control system or compressor failure. o Heavy guage steel construction - available in black or zinc plated o T-Skirts require a special mounting bracket.                               Installed Quad-Bag System Individual replacement bags are available AIR BAG ISOLATION KIT A useful upgrade to the air suspension system is to add an isolation valve on each side so that the bags can be isolated from the interior controls and compressor. This is particularly useful when their is a failure of the control system or compressor.  It allows for the bags to be individually filled and isolated from the system to maintain ride height during system failure. Installation kit includes valves and fittings necessary to connect to the existing tubing system. ADJUSTABLE LINKS FOR LEVEL RIDE SYSTEM The factory leveling valve links are not adjustable.  We have engineered an adjustable link to allow adjusting the ride height AIR SUSPENSION REPLACEMENT COMPRESSOR The factory leveling system original compressor is no longer available. We offer a replacement unit made by Firestone US that is quieter than the original, moves more air which will allow for quicker fill time, and seems to be extremely dependable.
